On April 3, 2025, the Records Management Office of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB-RMO), under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration, welcomed a benchmarking visit from several participants of the Higher Education Leadership Mentoring Seminar (HELMS) program led by the Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education (OIDHE). The visit formed part of the fellows’ leadership development activities, aimed at gaining insights into best practices in administrative and records management operations within the university.

During the visit, the RMO shared its current practices in document control, archiving, digitization efforts, and compliance with records retention and disposal policies. Discussions also covered the Office’s ongoing initiatives in improving transparency, efficiency, and data integrity—key areas that support the University’s overall governance and service delivery.

The benchmarking activity provided an avenue for meaningful exchange of ideas, challenges, and strategies in managing institutional records. It also served as an opportunity to showcase the RMO’s continuous efforts toward innovation and excellence in records management.

The Records Management Office is honored to contribute to the learning journey of UPLB’s future leaders and remains committed to fostering a culture of collaboration and growth within the academic community.
