UPLB Records Management Office Hosts Benchmarking Visit from the Municipality of Los Baños

On April 7, 2025, the Records Management Office of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB-RMO), under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration, welcomed personnel from the Records Office of the Municipality of Los Baños for a benchmarking activity aimed at sharing best practices and strengthening local government-university collaboration in the field of records management.

The visit provided an opportunity for both offices to exchange insights on effective records handling, digital archiving systems, and compliance with records retention policies. The RMO shared its initiatives in streamlining records processes, adopting digital solutions, and ensuring transparency and accountability in document control.

The benchmarking also included a tour of the RMO facilities, walkthroughs of the office’s workflow systems, and a discussion on challenges and opportunities in managing institutional records.
